Burrell gets six meals as girls get bitchy in I'm a Celeb

LONDON – Former Royal butler Paul Burrell braved a cave full of snakes, rats and spiders to collect six out of a possible 11 meals for his fellow 'I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' contestants as tempers in the camp frayed and the girls got bitchy.

While Burrell was psyching himself up for the challenge, former All Saints singer Natalie Appleton and model Sophie Anderton had a slagging match when they were sent to fetch the Celebrity Chest and bring it back to the camp.

Appleton screamed at Anderton: "I'm a bit pissed off with you. You're Miss Perfect for the camera -- well, you can carry it yourself. Everyday it's 'me, me, me'."

When Anderton accused Appleton of always being sick, the former singer shouted back at her: "I was ill fucking once. You're a prima donna. I didn't realise being sick pissed you off. If you get sick, you can fuck off."

The row continued back at the camp with Appleton telling Three Degrees singer Sheila Ferguson: "I just lost it, it's like she's got no feelings."

Appleton was comforted by Ferguson, Brian Harvey, Janet Street-Porter and Antonio Fargas, while Anderton, who was consoled by Nancy Sorrell, said: "I'm furious, how dare she fucking speak to me?"

The pair later hugged and made up, although Anderton may have cheered up at the news that her adversary had to do a surprise bushtucker trial live on television.

The challenge, called "Leap of Faith", involved Appleton being submerged in tanks full of eels, ants, cockroaches, fly pupae and putrid fish heads.

She only managed two stars before having to be given oxygen by the jungle medic and saying: "I'm going to be sick. Sorry, I can't do it."

Meanwhile, squeaky-voiced comedian Joe Pasquale, who has been favourite since the start of the series, returned to the top spot with odds of evens from 2/1 after a flurry of bets for late arriver Reeves dried up, leaving him at 3/1 from 6/4, according to bookmaker Ladbrokes.

Reeves's wife Sorrell felt the effects of deceiving the camp about her husband joining the show, as her odds to win drifted to 16/1 from 12/1. She was the only one in the jungle to know that husband Reeves was on the way.

Ladbrokes spokesperson Warren Lush said: "The money has dried up for Vic and Nancy, viewers are not impressed by the way the jungle act knew all along they would be reunited. Nancy is now more likely to go, while Vic's odds of winning have drifted making him second favourite."
