British Airways Silent Picturehouse returns to Vinopolis

British Airways (BA) is bringing its Silent Picturehouse back to London Bridge venue Vinopolis for a week in July.

The pop-up cinema experience, in partnership with Bafta, will run from 22-26 July. It will show five travel-inspired films including Jaws, Skyfall, The Beach, Top Gun and the fan’s choice, Slumdog Millionaire.

The films will be shown simultaneously across five screens. Cinemagoers will select the movie they want to watch, then don wireless headphones to immerse themselves in the film.

The idea is for guests to recreate an in-flight entertainment experience whilst watching the film.

BA will also serve in-seat hotdogs, popcorn, ice-cream, sweets and treats during the screenings.

Lucy Haines, managing director of Vinopolis, told Event: "We are delighted to welcome back BA to Vinopolis for this prestigious event. Our versatility when working with high-profile brands on events of varying size and complexity has enabled us to organise this event with BA and to ensure that we can offer the best experience for both BA and their guests during their time here."

The red carpet launch takes place on 22 July, and will be hosted by BBC Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman.
