Organised by Ealing Broadway Business Improvement District (BID), supported by Land Securities and Ealing Council, the seventh floor of Springbridge Road car park will be transformed into a secret rooftop garden for 30 days.
Between 31 July until 8 September, cinemagoers will be able watch a range of cult and contemporary films, presented by Rooftop Film Club.
Local restaurants and takeaway businesses are also being supported as part of the initiative through the Best of Ealing kitchen proposition. This will allow guests to order food from local outlets and get it delivered direct to their cinema seat.
Matthew McMillan, chief executive of Ealing Broadway BID, said: "We are delighted to be working with Land Securities and Ealing Council to bring a cinema back in the centre of Ealing. We want to put Ealing on the map as one of London’s most vital and thriving town centres, by working with award-winning and innovative partners such as Rooftop Film Club.
"With major new high-quality developments including the new film quarter in the pipeline, and Crossrail on the horizon there has never been a better time to come to Ealing."
Nick Davis, development director at Land Securities, added: "We are delighted to work with the BID to deliver such an exciting proposal and bring film screenings back to Ealing. This, along with our plans to provide a permanent cinema for the town centre and create a new film quarter, will help Ealing’s film heritage be celebrated in the way it deserves."
