The corporate entertainment talent contest, organised by Sternberg Clarke in partnership with Event magazine, will see 18 shortlisted acts battle it out in the heat phases, with one winner from each heat competing in the final at this year’s Event Awards on 2 October at Troxy, London.
The acts are required to perform to a crowd of industry professionals and adapt their performance based on a spoof brief. A panel of industry experts will then shortlist two entrants on the night, with the audience selecting their favourite to go on to compete in the final.
The judging panel for the third heat will retain Sternberg Clarke director Adam Sternberg, Event magazine news editor Samantha Edwards and Café de Paris event manager Andrew Bernie.
The third heat winner will be competing against , which created its performance around a brief to launch a new energy drink called Pop, as well as , who adapted his performance for the launch of a new bowling and American diner-style restaurant and won the second heat.
Heat one of this year's Beat the Brief competition took place at Café de Paris in May, while the second heat was hosted at Brooklyn Bowl at The O2 last month.
