In his new role, Blanchard will be responsible for the creative and copywriting output of the agency, working across all Baber Smith clients including American Express and Brent Cross Shopping Centre. He will report directly to Simon Smith, the agency's founder and creative director.
Blanchard joins Baber Smith from Clark McKay and Walpole where he was creative group head and senior writer, working on accounts including the Central Office of Information (COI), John Lewis and Lotus.
Blanchard won a Gold IPA award for his work with the COI, and other awards work with Persil, Mitsubishi and UK/France shuttle service Le Shuttle.
Baber Smith has recently seen an influx of business wins, including Cabot Circus, the £500m redevelopment of Bristol city centre, and Family Investments, a UK-based child trust fund provider.
