Fans attending home matches will be given a disk for their PSP devices enabling them to watch live streaming video of matches, with a five-second delay, access data and statistics, and view instant replays.

The service is only available inside the stadium, with the wireless signal being blocked outside the Emirates.

Angus Kinnear, marketing director at Arsenal FC, said: ‘I believe that this is the future of how fans want to digest the football they watch. As a club we want to be driving supporter services.'

The launch of the app follows a trial in January 2009 with the club developing the service alongside Sony.
