VisitBritain wants a gateway that will take visitors on a quick and easy route to their desired destination, whether that is accommodation information, booking functions, user tips or to upload photos, for example.
The site recently scooped a 2007 World Travel Award for Best European Tourism Information site.
"We need to keep up this high calibre positioning and ensure that our homepage is meeting the same criteria," said Rob North, content and customer activation manager (UK and Ireland), VisitBritain.
The homepage will go live at the beginning of April.
London-based agency Aqueduct was established in 2002, and employs 25 people. Clients include Network Rail, Philips, Trailfinders and University of Liverpool.
