
AMV BBDO was recognised for campaigns for Bodyform, Diageo, Pepsi, Walkers, BT, Dixons Carphone, Camelot, Smart Energy, Sainsbury’s and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
Hot on the agency’s heels is Omnicom stablemate Adam & Eve/DDB, which was nominated 11 times for Mars, Volkswagen, Harvey Nichols, John Lewis, H&M and the Financial Times.
Two of the shops’ Christmas campaigns – Sainsbury’s "Mog’s calamity" by AMV BBDO and John Lewis "Man on the moon" by Adam & Eve/DDB – were shortlisted in the Retail & Restaurants category.
Bartle Bogle Hegarty and Mother London each landed seven nominations. BBH was shortlisted for Virgin Media, Samsung, Audi, The Guardian and Cifas, while Mother picked up nominations for Ikea, Unilever, Laterooms.com, Moneysupermarket.com and Boots No7.
McCann London got six nods and JWT four, while Brothers and Sisters, FCB Inferno, Lucky Generals, Grey and MullenLowe each had three.
Five agencies were shortlisted twice: AKQA, Iris, Leo Burnett, M&C Saatchi, and WCRS.
Of the brands, Dixons Carphone led the way with five nominations for "Whatever it takes", "Back to school" and "Spare the act". Harvey Nichols had four, with three each for Ikea and Microsoft/Xbox.
The Big Awards winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, on Wednesday 19 October.
