The Auditorium Liverpool will hold smaller capacity performances for audiences between 850 and 1,350, within Echo Arena’s sister venue BT Convention Centre.
The first event to take place will be Snooker Legends, when Ronnie O’Sullivan will take on Jimmy White on 25 October.
Ian Congdon, sales manager at the Echo Arena, said: "The Auditorium Liverpool will be an intimate performance space - capacity can be reduced to 850 thanks to two unique rotating drums within the auditorium.
"The space will fill the gap in the city for artists looking to perform in more intimate surroundings while enabling the audience to get even closer to their favourite comedians, bands and sports stars in a theatre-style setting."
The Auditorium Liverpool follows the launch of EchoTwo last year, which hosts shows with a maximum crowd of up to 4,000.
