The contract will see Freeman being the preferred supplier for organisers hosting exhibitions across the venue’s event spaces, which includes the BT Convention Centre, Echo Arena and the forthcoming Exhibition Centre Liverpool.

Conference highlights for ACC Liverpool in 2014 will include the return of the BBC Worldwide Showcase, NHS Confederation, The Royal College of Nursing and Cancer Research UK.

Justin Phillips, commercial director of Freeman, said: "We are thrilled to continue working alongside the strong, highly experienced management team at ACC Liverpool, and our great partnership will continue to grow with the venue’s expansion plans.

"Our combination of expertise will continue to bring together the services that organisers and exhibitors require for each venue to be used to its full capacity."

ACC Liverpool also confirmed ISS Facility Services UK as a retained supplier for cleaning and waste services, as well as naming a number of new deals. These included OCS for security and stewarding, Cofely for facilities management and National Merchandise for merchandising.

Gerald Andrews, ACC Liverpool’s director of finance, said: "Last year we undertook a rigorous competitive tender process for all our service partners because the initial contracts, put in place when we opened in 2008, were drawing to an end. It was a substantial exercise and we are delighted with the outcome.

"We now look forward to working with both the old and new service partners, who will accompany us on the next exciting phase of our journey. This will see the development of our new exhibition centre, as well as a concerted effort to further raise the bar on customer service delivery."

Last month, ACC Liverpool revealed that it had achieved its highest annual turnover since opening, reaching £14.7m.
