Other features include Build Your Music Community, whereby users can sample or subscribe to stations created by other music fans.
The new subscription service will be available to consumers at a cost of $3.99 (£2.40) a month or $35.99 a year. The service allows users to customise their own internet radio station or listen to dozens of pre-programmed music channels in a variety of genres.
David Goldberg, vice-president and general manager of music at Yahoo!, said: "Launchcast Plus sets the standard for subscription internet radio by expanding on the excellence of Launchcast. Yahoo! is committed to providing consumers with innovative and dependable premium services; with Launchcast Plus, users now have another great option to listen to music."
Both Launchcast and Launchcast Plus will be available through the Yahoo! network.
