X Factor UK tops BR app chart

The X Factor UK and the Orange Film To Go apps have flown straight to the top of BR's branded app chart, in first and second place respectively.

The Fremantle Media-produced app launched on 19 August. It allows 'X Factor' fans to catch-up with the best moments from the show, view behind-the-scenes photos and sign up for breaking news updates.

The Orange Film To Go app, which was launched on 16 August, allows users to watch one film selected by the mobile firm each week for free.

The Official Rugby World Cup app is the only other new entry in the top 10, debuting in fifth place after launching on 22 August.

The app allows rugby fans to access live match coverage, including live commentary, stats and video highlights.

Two weeks ago when the chart was last published new entries ESPN Goals and Dominos Pizza sat in first and second place respectively.

ESPN Goals has now dropped to fourth place in the chart, while Domino’s Pizza has dropped to 13th place.

 

The chart is powered by analytics app developed by with non-commercial branded apps removed.
