Channel 4 catch-up service scales BR app chart

Channel 4's recently relaunched on-demand programming app, 4oD Catch Up, has racked up a second week as the most popular entry on BR's branded app chart.

The app was originally launched for the iPad but the broadcaster updated it at the beginning of the month to optimise it for the iPhone.

Channel 4 claims it recently passed a million downloads for the iOs app.

The official Rugby World Cup app, in second place, is also demonstraing staying power, while ITV's own Rugby World Cup app makes an appearance at number 15.

ITV's general catch-up service, ITV Player, has risen five places to number three.

The chart is powered by analytics app developed by with non-commercial branded apps removed.
