The campaign, called the "W Mowement" is a humorous protest against the spelling of vodka, arguing that it should be called "wodka", as in the original Polish spelling.
The digital campaign focuses on a that outlines the W Mowement's manifesto and shows the protests of various Polish people. A singer has taken a vow of silence and stopped speaking; a curator in Warsaw is guarding the manuscript authenticating that "wodka" originated in Poland; and a fashion designer is staging a naked protest.
"Wodka" supporters are encouraged to send an invitation and "go for a protest", or in other words a drink. The site includes Google map technology to help supporters to search for a "protest" site.
The website will be supported by a print campaign and uses the strapline "The W Mowement - There is no V in Wodka".
Yves Schladenhaufen, international sales and marketing director at Wyborowa, said: "The idea started with the history of vodka, which was invented in Poland, where it is called wodka.
"We make it the traditional Polish way and maintain the original Polish spelling, so there is no "v" in wodka -- and there is no "v" in Wyborowa either."
