Welcome to the new look Brand Republic

A lot has changed since Brand Republic first launched in 2001, both on the web as well as in the marketing, media and communications world.

So, we want to welcome you to the new look web site - whether you are an old friend of Brand Republic or a newcomer who has been prompted to join the Republic by our good friend King Nick.

The success of a start-up like Google, which only took five years to grow up and become the biggest media company in the world, reinforces the reasons for changing Brand Republic and the fact that the business world is in an unprecedented period of upheaval and development.

And, thanks to the progress of technology and the rise and rise of consumer power, the advertising, media, marketing, PR and communications industries are at the vanguard of this change.

The growth of the internet and other digital media drives a lot of this change in media, so it is logical, if a little ironic, that the web offers a great opportunity to bring all these developments together and make sense of them.


At Brand Republic, we want to provide the best place online for marcomms professionals -- in all sectors of the industry and at all stages of their career -- to find out what is going in the marketplace, as it happens, and make and enhance the connections that help them grow their careers.

For the first time, we are asking our members to have a voice and make their point of view known in a significant way.

Thanks to a new network of bloggers - including celebrated creatives Ogilvy's Rory Sutherland and Harrison Troughton Wunderman's Steve Harrison, who are blogging on ±±¾©Èü³µpk10's and Marketing Direct's new web sites, respectively, and new-look forums, it is also bringing online communities within the industry alive and allow people to forge connections with each other.

To do this, we have built on the finest traditions of the magazines and brands that Haymarket owns -- from , , , , , and -- and used the unique properties of the internet to offer much more.

We have added more personalisation and interactivity. From My BR, which allows you to effectively build and design your own homepage with the content you want to see from Brand Republic and elsewhere, to a personal profile page for each member, we hope you will find the opportunity to take part in the issues and debates that inspire you. All you need to do is complete a simple registration process.

From essential market news to job updates, BR will continue to play to its strengths and deliver up-to-the-minute information as it becomes available, but we hope that you will find a lot more that inspires and helps you on the site.

Rest assured, we are not complacent. We know we haven't finished. There is more to come as our ambition is to provide the content -- and, most importantly, the platform -- that helps marcomms professionals to work well, build careers and enjoy debating the big issues in the industry. We hope you will feel inspired to join in and to help Brand Republic grow.
