Wegener has added data from Royal Mail's Business Changes File to its PrimeFile plus database, which has been broken down in four key categories: new businesses, relocations, change of ownership and new branches.
Steve Cook, commercial director of Wegener's B2B data division, said: "For firms looking to target new businesses it will be an absolute must have. For the first time they will have all the information they could possibly need access to in one place."
Royal Mail said that new businesses typically spend more in their first six months of operation than in the next six years and being able to identify those companies is a real business opportunity.
