Waitrose forges closer links with John Lewis

LONDON - Waitrose is forming closer ties with sister company John Lewis and is expanding into homewares, kitchen products and gifts.

Waitrose forges closer links with John Lewis

The move is designed to take market share from its rivals Tesco and Sainsbury.

The collaboration will see thousands of John Lewis and Waitrose products available online from Waitrose.com, which launches tomorrow. Customers will be able to choose between having non-food items delivered to their home or they can collect them from their local Waitrose store.

Also this week Waitrose will launch a second ‘Foodhall from Waitrose' at its John Lewis store in Bluewater following the success of its first at its Oxford Street branch.
