Volkswagen "See the unseen" by Adam & Eve/DDB

In this Scandi-noir-style spot, disaster is averted thanks to the VW Touareg Black Edition's Night Vision assist system, which uses thermal imaging to detect people or animals on the road.

An invisible woman and her invisible dog – her voice and their breath on the cold outside air the only evidence of their existence – embark for a walk into a foggy night, while a man heads home from work in his Touareg.

The ad is clearly heading for a denouement in which the two tales collide. But a literal collision is avoided thanks to the onboard thermal image system in the Touareg Black Edition.

The work spans 30- and 60-second versions for TV, while a two-minute cinema edit will dwell on the sleek lines and driver assist functions of the car. It was written by Paul Knott, art directed by Tim Vance, and directed by Niclas Larsson through New Land London.
