has been created by digital agency Dare and is the starting point for a campaign running across the UK. It acts as a physical representation of what the Vodafone 360 service promises to do, which is gather all your contacts in one place.

Vodafone has steam-cleaned 1,400 circles in to pavements all over the UK and is challenging people to gather as many friends as possible at one of the locations and take a photograph, sending it in with a team name to 60001.

On offer is £36,000 to spend on the experience of a lifetime for the winning group of friends, as well as daily prizes for the most creative entries. Free newspaper Metro is also part of the promotion, offering extra cash prizes.

Vodafone 360 is a feature for keen social networkers allowing contacts from Facebook, Google Talk and Windows Live Messenger to be added to a single address book along with all the users contacts. This in turn allows users to access updates and stay in touch from a single point. It also offers apps, games and music, maps to help people find local places of interest and get directions, and it can be used on a computer as well as a mobile handset.

Samsung has created two branded handsets to carry the service and four Noka Symbian smartphones will also come pre-loaded with Vodafone 360. In total, all or part of the service will be available on over 100 handsets.
