Vizeum is biggest riser in agency billings rankings

Vizeum, the Dentsu Aegis Network agency, had the greatest proportional increase in billings of the top ten media agencies in 2016.

Nielsen figures show that Vizeum’s billings were £357.1m, up from £300m in 2015 – an increase of 19%. It also had the biggest monetary rise of £57.1m.

Among the top 20 agencies in terms of billings, Goodstuff Communications grew 73% to £87.9m and moved from 23rd to 18th in the rankings. 

Publicis Media’s Blue 449 had the second-biggest growth in the top 20, its billings rising 24% to £221.4m. The agency landed Asda in April 2016.

Three of the top five agencies – OMD, Carat and MEC– experienced a decline in billings. 

MEC suffered the biggest drop, of 9.4% to £667.6m, although it picked up BMW and Nationwide towards the end of 2016.
