LONDON - Virgin Media is to advertise its mobile phones on TV for the first time since its rebranding from NTL in 2007.

A new 60-second ad will air from tomorrow and run for five weeks.

The second in Virgin Media’s ‘Powerful Stuff’ series, the ad showcases the power of the mobile internet by transporting a man to his friends and loved ones and immersing him in a world of music, films and games.

Previous campaigns for mobile have featuredcelebrities such as Busta Rhymes, Christina Aguilera and Kate Moss.

Created by Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R, this new ad features music from 90s alternative rock band, Mazzy Star.

The TV ads are part of a multi-million pound media campaign for Virgin Media, which includes TV, print, outdoor and online.
