
The apps were created by M&C Saatchi Mobile and are available to download free from the iTunes App Store.
Dusan Hamlin, joint chief executive of M&C Saatchi Mobile, said: "These initial download figures for the Videojug apps prove that the demand for video content on mobile devices has never been higher."
Popular topics across the spectrum of offerings include food, golf, dating and even more bespoke offerings such as how to change a tyre and how to eat sushi correctly.
Tom Laidlaw, chief executive of Videojug, said: "Short and focused around specific user needs, Videojug’s content is perfectly suited to the mobile device.
"Just as we’ve seen with online video, mobile video is becoming a huge opportunity for brands to engage with the consumer through factual and informative comment."
At the end of last month, Panasonic signed as the first brand on Video Pages, Videojug’s knowledge and revenue sharing website.
The site allows users to publish content in return for a 50% share of the revenue from ads served around it.
