Video exclusive: inside Omega House

Omega House at the House of St Barnabas in Soho is an exclusive retreat for Omega ambassadors and invited VIP guests, but Event snuck in to give you a taste of what's going on there during the Games.

Omega is the official timekeeper of the Olympic Games. It has themed every room in Omega House around particular product ranges. The Ladymatic Lounge, for example, was decorated in classic tones and elegant floral arrangements, while the space-themed Speedmaster Bar, named after the first watch to be worn on the moon, offered a more galactic experience.

Speaking to Event, Omega President Stephen Urquhart said the brand chose the venue because it wanted a base in the heart of the city. He said there would be special events happening every evening for guests to enjoy, including exclusive film screenings.

The house has already welcomed A-list stars, including Nicole Kidman on its opening night, when Pulp frontman Jarvis Cocker DJ’d.

The first man on the moon, Buzz Aldrin, will also be visiting the house, alongside record-breaking Olympian Michael Phelps and Jessica Ennis.

The venue is a charity that normally hosts Quintessentially Soho, a pop-up members’ lounge and events space. It has supported people affected by homelessness for more than 160 years.
