The two metre-high installation of a human skull appeared this morning (1 July) on the south bank. A cordoned-off police area and forensic investigators draw further attention to the stunt.
The installation took a design team four weeks to build. The scene was also complete with one tonne of earth, to make it appear as if the skull had just been dug up from the ground.
The stunt was designed and executed by agency Taylor Herring.
Adrian Wills, general manager of Alibi, said: "Our dramatic installation pays homage to the moment that features in many thrilling crime dramas; the unexpected discovery of human remains that triggers an investigation into how and why it came to be there.
"And because the channel celebrates the biggest crime dramas on TV, we decided to super-size this crime scene and really get people talking."
Today also saw Alibi reveal its new on- and off-air identity, which includes a change to its logo and four new TV idents.
