UK fashionista site gets a revamp

LONDON - FashionConfidential.co.uk, the City girl's insider's guide to the hottest fashion, beauty and designer bargains, has re-launched and expanded its content.

The revamp, handled by branding and communications agency Aqueduct, comes on the back of strong growth for the business, and aims to strengthen as a channel for driving online sales for the brands it works with.

Having built its membership to more than 60,000 via a purely viral and email marketing strategy, the new website positions FashionConfidential as a destination site for time-poor, cash-rich fashionistas.

Visitors to the site can find out how and where to get hold of the latest designer collections and bargains, gain access to sample sales, take advantage of exclusive offers and read the latest insider fashion news.

The enhancements aim to deliver a more personalised service to site members, with newsletter content tailored to each recipient's preferences depending on their previous buying and browsing behavior. The site claims an enviable 50% email open rate and strong through-site sales.

Charlotte Hinton, director of Fashion Confidential, who gave up her job as an intellectual property lawyer three years ago to start the business, said: "Since launch we have enjoyed a remarkable growth in membership and the number of luxury fashion and beauty brands we work with. We had reached a point where the business had to accommodate the needs of our members and look to the future.

"We turned to Aqueduct to create an easily adaptable web platform upon which we can launch further web assets as required. Aqueduct have understood exactly what we needed as a business and conceived and delivered a savvy digital strategy that will hugely enhance our offering and cater for our expansion."

Matthew O'Riordan, digital services director at Aqueduct, added: "This project has been an overwhelming success. The website answers the needs of both Fashion Confidential and its members -- it's inspiring and represents the high-fashion brands that appear in the range.

"We're excited by the further opportunities already underway that will be built upon the web platform we've put in place for Fashion Confidential."

The site has gained popularity in the fashion and national press, being recommended by The Telegraph, The Evening Standard and Grazia among others.
