Head of sales and marketing Ling has been appointed to the new role of director of business development. As well as heading the sales and marketing department, she will now also oversee the client management division. The two teams have been combined to form a 20-stong CRM department.
The Database Group has also made former head of technical services Raymonde De-Schoolmeester director of business services. He will take charge of the 20-strong, newly combined areas of IT, production and development.
No other roles have been affected by the restructure, although a spokesman for the The Database Group said there will "potentially be other changes" at the company.
The firm has a number of clients including Renault, Volvo, O2 and Orange.
Last month, The Database Group unveiled research, which found that blue-chip companies are failing to realise the value of customer retention. The survey revealed that even though 52% of middle and senior marketers agreed their organisation understood the value of customer retention, only 33% were able to calculate the possibility of their customers.
