TRG Strata appointed to manage lists for music store MVC

LONDON - TRG Strata, the ReaD Group's list and insert management company, has been appointed by music store MVC to manage its lists, featuring individuals with good disposable incomes that are comfortable paying for products online.

The database consisits of a portfolio containing five separate lists: music buyers -- youth market; music buyers -- golden oldies; games buyers; DVDs and videos -- golden oldies; and DVDs and videos -- family.

Declan Boyle, business development manager of TRG Strata, said: "This predominantly ABC1 group have a good disposable income and a high credit card usage."

MVC, the Woolworths-owned music and film retailer, is marketed with the slogan "Pay less, discover more".

The profile of the group's lists has been put forward to fit a wide variety of sectors such as mail order, wine clubs, travel and leisure and automotive.

Richard Cooper, business insight manager at MVC, said: "Given TRG Strata's proven expertise in this area, we are fully confident that releasing our data will enable marketers to target this valuable audience cost effectively and successfully."

Minimum order is 5,000 names with a base rental of 拢100/1,000 and a 拢5/1,000 discount for charities.

TRG also manages reader data for The Guardian and Observer newspapers after being appointed in January.
