The Travelodge iBooker allows iPhone users to find and book a room in Travelodges and Travelodge-affiliated hotels throughout the UK.

Developed by Sense Internet, the free app features a three-step booking system to secure a room at the budget hotel chain.

Aidan Cook, managing director at Sense Internet, said the app adds convenience and makes Travelodge stand out from competitors.

More than 15,000 apps have been developed for the iPhone, and Apple claims 500 million have been downloaded to date. But the hotel industry has been relatively slow to cash in on the iPhone's popularity.
