Robert Senior, the UK chief executive of the SSF Group, has been promoted to the role of EMEA chief executive of Saatchi & Saatchi, following the departure of Simon Francis. The role will see Senior’s responsibilities expand beyond Saatchi & Saatchi and Fallon in the UK, to EMEA. (±±¾©Èü³µpk10)

EHS 4D Group has ended its long search for a creative services director by appointing David Hampshire. Hampshire will head up the creative department, overseeing creative directors including Nigel Clifton, Mike Eggers and Matt Watts. He will report to chief operating officer Simon Hebdon. Ogilvy & Mather London has appointed Paul Donohue to the newly created role of digital delivery director. Donohue joins the agency from M&C Saatchi, where he held an equivalent role, and will now be responsible for boosting the technical and creative standards of its digital work. (±±¾©Èü³µpk10)

Marketing

Lord Mandelson, the former business secretary and one of the architects of New Labour, is poised to launch an international consulting firm backed by Sir Martin Sorrell's WPP marketing services empire. The business, Global Counsel LLP, will be chaired by Lord Mandelson and run by former Number 10 aide Ben Wegg-Prosser. ()

Pets at Home, the UK's biggest chain of pet stores, has appointed Greggs’ customer and marketing director Scott Jefferson to the position of marketing director. He replaces Breffni Walsh, who will be leaving the retailer next month for personal reasons. ()

Oliver Rudgard has been appointed to the position of marketing director for Tyrrell's, the potato-chip brand, with immediate effect. He will report to David Milner, chief executive of Tyrrell’s. ()

Media

Simon Francis, the EMEA chief executive of Saatchi & Saatchi, is to join Publicis rival Aegis as EMEA chief executive of Aegis Media early next year. After Francis' arrival, Nigel Sharrocks, currently CEO of Western Europe for Aegis Media, will take global responsibility for its three media networks, Carat, Vizeum and Posterscope, and oversee the international client teams for those brands. Aegis Media's performance marketing network iProspect and creative network Isobar remain under the global oversight of Mark Cranmer. Sharrocks will also become chairman of Aegis Media UK. Clive Milner, chief operating officer of News International and key lieutenant of Rupert Murdoch, is set to leave the business after nearly 30 years. Milner joined News International in 1981. His departure at the end of the year is said to be of "mutual consent" and he will not be replaced directly. ()

The beleaguered COI is concluding a dismal year with the news that one of its longest-serving and most respected executives, Peter Buchanan, is retiring. Buchanan, COI’s deputy chief executive, is stepping down at the end of this month after 16 years at the organization. (±±¾©Èü³µpk10)

The BBC has reacted to the commercial radio industry's calls to rein back its services, by appointing long-standing commercial figure John Myers to review the costs of some of its services. Myers, the former chief executive of GMG Radio, is to spend the first three months of 2011 on the review. ()

Jana Bennett, director of BBC Vision and TV chief at the BBC, is to join the corporation's commercial arm BBC Worldwide in the new role of president, worldwide networks and global iPlayer. Bennett will take up her new role in February 2011 and will have responsibility for BBC Worldwide’s wholly owned BBC-branded international channels and for its 50% shareholding in digital TV broadcaster UKTV. ()
