Marketing

Nokia has appointed Charmaine Eggberry as senior vice-president, marketing, with responsibility for Go-To-Market Operations (GTMO). Eggberry joins from Research In Motion (RIM) where she was vice-president and managing director.

ITV director of television Peter Fincham has taken control of the broadcaster's marketing efforts in a change of tack at the commercial network. Fincham will now also take responsibility for the broadcaster’s research capabilities.

Talk Talk, the UK's third largest broadband supplier has appointed former BBC iPlayer and Project Canvas executive Rahul Chakkara as director of online.

Marilyn Baxter, a non-executive board director at the Central Office of Information, is retiring after seven years in the post. A replacement will be announced soon.

Comedy Central UK has appointed ex-Kiss FM managing director, Bill Griffin, as its most senior marketer. He will take up the position of director of marketing following a restructure, replacing Chris Hancox, who was vice-president of marketing and creative services at the MTV Network brand.

ThomsonLocal.com has promoted Jill Pringle to the position of marketing director, from her previous role as head of marketing at the local business search company. Pringle will report to chief executive Elio Schiavo.

Guardian Media Group has appointed Andrew Miller as its chief executive, replacing Carolyn McCall, who left the group at the end of June to become chief executive of easyJet. (±±¾©Èü³µpk10)

Mediaedge:cia has appointed Verra Budimlija as its head of strategy, replacing Stuart Bowden, who left the agency at the start of the year to become the deputy managing director at Vizeum. (±±¾©Èü³µpk10)

Alex Crowther has been appointed chief executive for MediaCom Asia Pacific, replacing Kevin Clarke, who will now head GroupM Thailand. Crowther will be responsible for 21 MediaCom offices in 15 countries in the Asia- Pacific region.

Reader's Digest boss Chris Spratling has stood down from his role as chief executive with immediate effect, just three months after participating in a management buyout that saved the company from administration.

News International has hired Will Lewis, the former digital supremo at Telegraph Media Group, in an editorial management and digital role across all four of its newspaper brands. ()
