LONDON - Senior departures from Yahoo!'s Kristof Fahy and Bauer Media's Suzanne Miron lead the charge as Brand Republic rounds up this week's people moves in advertising, digital, marketing and media.

VCCP has hired Michael Edge, AKQA's digital business/group account director, as its head of digital. In his new role, he will act as part of the senior management team and be responsible for bringing a more technological slant to the agency's digital offering. (±±¾©Èü³µpk10)

, Yahoo!'s vice-president of international marketing, is leaving his role to join William Hill next year. He joined Yahoo! in late 2007 and this June was handed a promotion by recently appointed Yahoo! chief executive Carol Bartz. ()

, director of integrated communications at mobile operator 3, is to join parent company Hutchison Whampoa's branding company Wham. ()

Samsung Electronics has named as senior campaign planning manager. She joins the business from Fosters, where she held the position of global brand manager for Lindemans Wines. ()

Media

, the former head of TV switchover body Digital UK, has been appointed chief executive of the digital switchover delivery body Digital Radio UK. ()

Independent News & Media, the publisher of The Independent and The Independent on Sunday newspapers, has appointed human resources executive as deputy managing director of its publishing operations in Ireland. ()

Condé Nast Digital commercial director has left the business after nine years to re-evaluate her career and aims to launch her own business in the New Year. Jamie Jouning, the newly appointed publisher of Condé Nast Digital, will take on Burns' responsibilities. Jouning joined from Wired, where he was publisher. ()

The Internet Advertising Bureau has appointed Publicis Modem's chief strategy officer as its new chair of its social media council. Effik takes over from Lloyd Salmons, founder and chief executive of agency Outside Line. ()

Telegraph Media Group has appointed former MediaCom associate director as its new classified sales director. Lancaster replaces Alex Foster, who left in July, and will report to TMG executive director Dave King. ()

, director of women's media at Bauer Media, is to leave the company in February to set up her own media consultancy. Bauer has begun the search for her replacement. ()

, editor-in-chief of The Daily Telegraph, has been appointed to manage a new digital unit and will be replaced as editor by his deputy Tony Gallagher. Lewis, who was appointed editor in 2006, will oversee Telegraph Media Group's digital business and retain his role as editor-in-chief of The Daily Telegraph, The Sunday Telegraph and Telegraph.co.uk. ()

Simon Andrews, the former global digital strategy officer at Mindshare, has launched a full-service mobile agency in partnership with the digital media specialist Agenda21. The agency, called Addictive, will provide mobile advertising and content, apps and services for smart phones. Andrews will run the operation, which will be his fifth start-up, with Pete Robins and Nick Suckley, the co-founders of Agenda21, as founding partners. (±±¾©Èü³µpk10)
