Total Film launches new website as editorial team gets a makeover

LONDON - Future Publishing has revealed it will be launching a new website for its popular movie title, Total Film, along with the development of the magazine's senior editorial team.

Total Film Online is due to launch later this year and will include specially written web content and the latest movie news, reviews, features and interviews.

The magazine's current editor, Matt Mueller, will be moving to the new position of editor-at-large with immediate effect, following six years at the helm.

Mueller will continue to work with the newly recruited senior editorial team and publisher Simon Maxwell to develop the magazine. Recruitment is beginning for a new editor, deputy editor and online editor.

The group has decided to invest in online and offline opportunities for the title at a time when the magazine is enjoying "the best shape it has ever been in".

Mueller said: "I've had a terrific time editing Total Film, and it continues to go from strength to strength. My new position will enable me to continue steering a successful development path for the title, while ensuring our new brand extension plans and web strategy are bang on the money."

In the most recent set of ABCs for July-December 2004, the title was down 8.6% to 82,810.
