Future poaches Semple to head up entertainment titles

LONDON – Future Publishing has poached Andy Semple from Dennis Publishing to head up its entertainment portfolio as publishing director and UK board director.

Semple, who takes up his new role at Future on June 21, will head up Future's entertainment portfolio working across flagship titles such as Redline, Mountain Biking UK, T3, Guitarist and Total Film.

He was previously group publishing director at Dennis, working across titles such as Maxim, Auto Express, EVO, Men's Fitness and The Week. Prior to this, Semple was publisher of Empire magazine at Emap.

He replaces Robert Price, who moved up to the managing director role in March.

According to Price: "As a publishing director and as a UK board director, Andy's substantial publishing experience will be invaluable."
