The fourth of five shows gave BBC One a 26.9% share of viewing, far ahead of the 11.9% share achieved by the next highest rated show in the 9pm-10pm slot, police drama 'Trial and Retribution' on ITV1.
'Trial and Retribution', a repeat, was watched by 2.8m viewers and was run close by BBC Two comedy news quiz 'Mock The Week'.
The half-hour quiz earned 2.6m viewers and an 11.3% share at 9pm-9.30pm, though the channel's audience went down to 1.8m (7.9%) for 'That Mitchell and Webb Look' at 9.30pm-10pm.
Five's US import 'The Mentalist' scored 1.8m in the 9pm-10pm slot, giving the channel a 7.9% share, while Channel 4 garnered a 7.3% share for 'Gerry's Big Decision'.
Featuring businessman Sir Gerry Robinson deciding whether to save struggling companies, the second of three shows drew 1.7m viewers and another 93,000 on Channel 4+1.
'Big Brother' at 10pm-11.10pm managed an audience of 1.9m, a share of 11%, and was watched by 166,000 on Channel 4+1.
