The company's revenue growth of 13% to £9m from £7.98m did not feed through to its bottom line, partly because of an investment of £500,000 in new staff during the period.
Peter Harkness, who has just succeeded Warren Tayler as chairman, said: "All of our businesses are performing well and now we have increased our investment in talented staff we can capitalise on the opportunities we have identified for new product development and expansion in the UK and internationally."
Market research was the best performer of the group's three divisions, achieving a 36% rise in revenue to £1.19m. TMN said a number of new clients have signed up to long-term tracker studies.
Electronic Direct Response, the creative email marketing division, achieved revenue growth of 20% to £3.44m on the back of uptake of its lead management tool Pure Lead.
Data broker and email database management division TMN Media grew revenues by 3.1% to £4.37m.
