
The company also revealed tickets for more than 7,000 new year’s eve events across Europe were hosted via its platform, and December events generated gross ticket sales in excess of £10m.
Frans Jonker, chief executive at Ticketscript, said: "We are proud to finish 2013 on such a high and it gives us the fuel and enthusiasm to kick start what we know will be an exciting year for the company.
"The last 12 months was filled with many key milestones and successes. Our stand-alone growth increased another 49%, we launched our rebrand and new corporate website, and provided our service to over 25,000 events."
He added Ticketscript has seen a rise in those waiting closer to an event to purchase tickets. It reports almost 20% of tickets sold last month took place during the last three days of the year.
The business also saw a growing demand for mobile ticketing, with Ticketscript revealing a rise of 69% year-on-year for mobile ticket sales in December 2013. It made up 7.2% of the ticketing type mix, versus 5.4% in the same month in 2012.
Jonker said: "We have also seen a rise in ticket buyers purchasing through Facebook, with 12% of the tickets last month being sold through this sales channel, which is a 61% increase year-on-year.
"These trends are demonstrating a need for a new approach to on-demand ticketing. We are looking forward to announcing a raft of new developments and initiatives in 2014."
