
The company also found corporate events bookings more than doubled throughout the 12 months. It was also able to reach new sectors including pharmaceutical, banking, retail and manufacturing.
Butlins Events has confirmed it will be growing its events team this year, which consists of seven members of staff. The company is currently looking for a new sales and marketing executive and marketing manager.
New initiatives are also being developed for 2014 including exclusive hire of its Bognor, Minehead and Skegness resorts, and a series of new team building packages at all three sites.
Butlins Events attributed the upturn to targeting core products towards the corporate events market, as well as a campaign to drive awareness of the brand throughout the UK. It hosted Waitrose, Hasbro, Activision and MG among other UK brands during 2013.
Simon Jones, national sales manager at Butlins Events, said: "2013 has been a fantastic year, seeing some of the best results for Butlins Events ever, with a number of corporate clients now starting to take our offering more seriously.
"Site visits are the key in converting our business - if clients are able to invest some time and see for themselves what the resorts have to offer, how we can add value plus a little Butlins fun to their event, they almost always confirm – it’s definitely a perception changing exercise for them."
