
December 2014 was hailed as its best ever month. Growth in the mobile market was particularly notable, with mobile ticket sales growing 117% year-on-year and accounting for 20% of the overall ticket type mix.
Ticketscript also ranked at number 34 on the Deloitte 2014 UK Technology Fast 50 rankings. The company’s financial results follow a in May 2014.
Frans Jonker, chief executive of Ticketscript, said: "Our stand-out product of 2014, Ticket Box Office, which is Europe’s first on-the-door sales app, has seen a great inaugural year. Its success showcases how we are the only end-to-end ticketing solution that allows event organisers to sell tickets at any point of the event lifecycle, while collecting valuable customer data."
"Social media has changed the way brands engage with their consumers. Event organisers have a more direct and personal connection with their audience without the need to spend any money. And we have seen the increase in consumer confidence regarding social commerce as 10% of ticket sales were sold via this sales channel in 2014."
Jonker added the company aggressively grew its European workforce in 2014. James Bilefield, who has previously worked on business plans for brands such as Skype, Yahoo and Farfetch, was appointed non-executive chairman.
The company plans to release even more products and tools in 2015, designed to provide its clients with greater flexibility.
