
The campaign, by MCBD, includes a 30-second TV ad that will run for the next three weeks in breaks during 'Dancing on Ice', 'Swimming with Sharks', 'Coronation Street', 'Take Me Out', 'The Secret Mediterranean with Trevor Mcdonald' and the latest Gordon Ramsey programme.
The ad consists of a montage of travellers' favourite holiday memories set to 'Holiday Road' by Lindsey Buckingham and ends with the line "We were there then and we're here now with a brand new website, Freeview channel and mobile apps. So that you can have the best holidays of your life".
Mark Bloxham, marketing director, Teletext Holidays, said: "This is the first time we've had a television advertising campaign for several years and it's a fresh new creative that aims to show the brand has been rebooted. It cleverly gives a nod to the heritage and warmth customers have of Teletext Holidays and how it's been integral to the best holidays of our lives."
The campaign will be extended through social media activity, in which consumers can send their holiday videos to Teletext. Winning entries will be used within Teletext's summer TV campaign.
In November Teletext revealed it would "reboot" the brand with a . It will also release iPad and smartphone apps that enable customers to search for holidays in a number of formats.
