T-Mobile hires Gopalan as chief marketing officer

LONDON - T-Mobile has hired Srini Gopalan as chief marketing officer.

Gopalan will now be responsible for revenue development through customer relationship management, loyalty and retention, brand development and all marketing communications.

He moves to the role from Capital One Bank, where he was managing director for Europe. Prior to becoming managing director in 2007, he was head of marketing and analysis at Capital One.

Gopalan, a former Accenture management consultant, takes on the role following the companies recent launch of T-Mobiles ‘Life's for Sharing' strapline. The TV ad campaign features 350 dancers at Liverpool Street station.

Golpalan will move to T-Mobile in June.
