How do you come up with fresh marketing ideas?
We have a clear sense of what the brand is about, and work hard to make sure all our ideas are relevant to our customers.
What is the main marketing challenge you face?
The intensity of the competition and the speed of change.
What are the perks of the job?
We get the opportunity to try out some great products and services before they launch, as well as travel to T-Mobile offices in other countries.
Describe the marketing team in three words.
Up for it.
Is there a dress code?
Yes, there is: businesswear on Mondays to Thursdays and casual dress on Fridays.
What are the hours like?
They can be long, especially when we are working on an ad campaign such as 'Dance', but the adrenaline gets you through. T-Mobile encourages a good balance between work and home.
Does the marketing team socialise outside office hours?
It does. Karaoke and cheesy nightclubs play a big part in nights out with the team.
Are there any downsides?
To work in this sector you have to enjoy, and be able to work in, a fast-paced environment.
Is there anything unusual about the inside of your office?
We have three Starbucks and lots of shared informal spaces. We also have a retail store in our main reception area.
Is there anything else readers may find interesting about the company in terms of working there?
Everyone communicates on their mobile phones; we do have an internal phone system, but it's rarely used.
