The handset manufacturer, which is moving to Hammersmith in the New Year, is advertising five marketing posts after individuals opted to leave.

Among the positions are a head of global sponsorship, channel marketing managers,
a senior product manager and a national account manager.

A Sony Ericsson spokesman said that ‘as a result of the move, some individuals have decided they don’t want to relocate due to travel and lifestyle impacts’.

Last month, the company launched a campaign promoting its Xperia phones as ideal for football fans, as part of plans to become a ‘leader’ in the Android smartphone market.
