1000 Companies to Inspire Britain 2015 is an annual celebration of some of the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK and is compiled by the London Stock Exchange.
As well as identifying 1,000 companies, the annual report examines the opportunities and challenges facing SMEs and looks at the sectors and trends that will shape the future of the UK economy. Both Hawthorn and Smyle were listed under the 'Creative Industries' section.
Rick Stainton, managing director at Smyle, said: "It's always nice to be named alongside other creative industries and it's important that the live sector is recognised as it helps brands deliver huge experiences to their audiences."
Martin Hawthorn, managing director at Hawthorn, added: "Hawthorn is honoured to be included in the London Stock Exchange's report. Being named as the only technical production company in the creative industries sector - as a company that inspires other creative businesses - is an accolade that the Hawthorn team have worked hard for.
To identify the 1,000 companies, finanical technology company Duedil combined P&L performance indicators, balance sheet analysis and credit health checking.
