The biennial event, perhaps the most prestigious on the golfing calendar, is taking place at the Celtic Manor Resort. Smyle will handle staging and set design for Thursday 30 September’s opening ceremony and Sunday 3 October’s closing bash.
"It is anticipated that 40,000 guests will attend the Ryder Cup, with a global audience of millions watching on Sky Sports and NBC," said Smyle managing director Rick Stainton. "The contest between Europe and the United States has become one of the most talked about rivalries in sport today"
Smyle will be working with ES Group to assist with the staging, and joining forces with Sky Sports on the show production.
