He will start his new role at Event City, Manchester, managing a team of seven full-time employees and up to 250 part-time staff.
Maciejewski joins from Compass Group, where he previously worked on several high-profile brands including Wimbledon and Manchester United. The announcement follows several new hires to the leadership team of the Smart group,

Maciejewski added: "I am excited to bring 10 years of hospitality experience with globally recognised brands to Smart Hospitality Manchester, and grow the regional presence of Smart Group.
