Simon Mason has been recruited as executive head chef for Manchester. Mason joins Smart from Manchester United FC and will oversee a brigade of chefs in order to assert Smart as the prominent operator in the North. Marcin Zapalowski has also been appointed as logistics manager having previously worked at a number of large venues in the North West, including Manchester City FC.
Anneka Barlow will also join the team as client relations manager. She previously worked at EventPad and Harvey Nichols, and will be the Smart Catering point of contact for EventCity, providing event management and directing the Smart Experience. Barlow will also be supported by Bryony Martin as client relations assistant, who joined Smart Hospitality Manchester in August.
