Sky rebrand to position broadcaster as 'customer-friendly'

LONDON - Broadcaster Sky is rebranding in an effort to position itself as a warmer, most customer-friendly brand.

According to a report in the Financial Times, will unveil a new logo with a more rounded ‘S' as part of a wider £1.5m rebrand. The new identity will be rolled out with Sky's annual pre-Christmas marketing campaign.

‘We're making some evolutionary changes to help us keep reaching out to more customers over time,' said a BSkyB spokesman.

Sky is also set to launch its subscription digital music service, Sky Songs, in the weeks leading up to Christmas.
