International skateboarding event, the Vans Downtown Showdown, has chosen London's Old Spitalfields Market as its base for this year's event (20 August).
Twelve of the best skate teams from across the globe will gather to compete for the €50,000 prize fund, showcasing their skills on specially customised ramps.
In homage to the east London site, the event will be given a Jack the Ripper theme, with inspiration coming from the cobbled streets of Victorian London.
It will be the first time the event has been held in the UK, having previously taken place in Torino and Hamburg.
