Go obtained the idea for the song after he saw a heart-shaped balloon entangled in a tree outside his house.

Go said: "Collaborating with my Twitter friends was very natural with this song because they were a part of the heart balloon's progress.

"Our imagination was collectively captured by something very simple and very innocent.

"I've had people close to me who have suffered from various heart conditions. The image of the heart balloon makes me think of them.

"The song is about how fragile the heart is and how we're all connected to one beating heart. Donating the song to the British Heart Foundation was just perfect."

Peter Hollins chief executive of the BHF, said: "We are really grateful to Gary, both for the donations which will be coming to the BHF, and for raising the awareness of heart disease being the biggest cause of deaths in the UK, very many of which could be avoided."
