The event was set to take place at Delta Point in Croydon between 25 and 28 April. It revealed the news on its Facebook page and Twitter account.
Secret Cinema said the event is still scheduled to run until 9 June and is working on a solution for the ticket holders whose shows were cancelled.
The company staged a last-minute pop-up movie screening event based on the 1984 film Footloose on Saturday (27 April) at Art Deco venue Troxy in East London.
In a tweet on Saturday evening, Secret Cinema said: "Tonight’s event @Troxy_London is a completely new show as a gesture of apology to those affected. This event will not reveal the secret."
Future Cinema, the parent company of Secret Cinema, published its latest statement last Friday (26 April), which said: "Secret Cinema sincerely apologise to all ticket holders for yesterday’s late announcement of the cancellation of shows. We have been prevented from opening our latest production, due to unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control regarding the building we are using.
"It is heart-breaking having to cancel the opening weekend and we are currently working very closely with all of the local authorities, who are all very supportive, to resolve the issues and launch the production as soon as possible. We will continue to do our utmost best under such difficult circumstances. All affected ticket holders have been contacted by Secret Cinema."
A spokesperson from Secret Cinema told Event that ticket holders would be offered alternative dates and receive an update on the situation in the next two days.
Daniel Smith, business development manager at Troxy, said: "Luckily we had Saturday night available and due to our close working relationship with Secret Cinema’s counterpart Future Cinema, of which we are the venue network partner, our licensing allowed us to stage the production.
"It was a great evening which was able to come together at the last minute as the directors know the space so well, even utilising the second stage for a grand reveal at the end of the film."
Future Cinema was set up in 2005 by Fabien Riggall, founder and director of Future Shorts. Its latest events have included screenings and live experiences based on Casablanca and The Shawshank Redemption in recent months.
